To celebrate its comeback on the big screen, Indiana Jones is proposing to relive his earliest adventures through a video game that is both a tribute and a parody of the original work. The second saga of George Lucas from Star Wars is therefore also converted to the sauce Lego, a result that is intended primarily for fans.

There are still a few years, the name Lego was not really good news in the videogame industry. We remember in particular the terrible Lego Creator inspired the second Harry Potter movie which we had definitely upset with the theme of Lego. With the announcement of Lego Star Wars, there was reason to be skeptical about the value of such an adaptation. But the boldness and originality of concept, the software has offered a privileged place in the hearts of a majority of players. Initially the gamble is insane, he is the team that Traveller’s Tales is now addressing the second saga of George Lucas, the first trilogy of Indiana Jones, and is preparing a specific version to the universe Batman.

For those who have never picked up Lego Star Wars, perhaps some explanation is needed on any particular system of play if the starting point is to reproduce a universe already known pieces of Lego, the concept of the series in fact goes much further and it is based largely on the destruction and the use of these building materials. Single-adventure game action apparently Lego Indiana Jones and contains some subtleties which give it its charm, even if it is true that they were already in place at the time of Lego Star Wars. To be clear, all the game environments are destructible made of materials which, once destroyed, can sometimes be reconstructed differently. For example, if you’re picking on a box of Lego to destroy it and then you take time to reassemble the pieces one by one, you may find yourself with a new object that may have then its usefulness in the conduct of progression. The strength of the series is to allow the player to blow off steam by spraying the slightest bit of background, before the urge to reconstruct the shape differently.

This does not preclude action game routines to move as soon as the script allows, giving us the opportunity to see the Lego people waving in all directions for spraying their enemies in a bunch of construction parts. Many of the weapons it is possible to recover the bodies of vanquished enemies to use it for his own benefit: spears crossbows through swords and firearms. Each character also has unique features of that can both serve and be served. Indy, for example, is unable to approach the snake, but it can hang around with his whip and use it to strike its enemies obviously. The ladies who accompany succeed, no one knows why, jump much higher than their male teammates, the blonde with the Temple of Doom and more the tendency to scream at every turn. Last example, scholars who never separated from their book are able to decipher any hieroglyphic inscription to reveal secret passages. All these talents should be used in a complementary way by regularly from one to the other or side by retrieving objects on the ground. Mostly classic progression reserves still some surprises with the subtle use of certain objects, such as bananas to monkeys to send or wigs to go completely unnoticed. On several occasions the same player has the ability to ride mounts unusual, such as llamas, camels and elephants, but also various motorized vehicles.

Hub of the trilogy, the university where Indy officiated as professor in his spare time allows access to all sides of the soft, but also to choose one of three movies after the first level of ‘Lost Ark ended. While most of the key passages of the trilogy are operating quite well in the game, some scenes have still been a little sloppy, especially in the Temple of Doom where the fall of the plane on inflatable boat and the trap walls that close are flown too quickly. Fortunately, other sequences memorable catch that gap, I think including the truck chase in the first film and the scene of the mine carts in the second. What is regrettable, however, is that the cut-scenes are always addressed only to fans of the saga and are not sufficiently explicit to make it understandable to those who have not seen the films. Nevertheless, these silent scenes do not lack humor and help immersive atmosphere that parody is precisely the strength of the series of Lego.

Recall, finally, that the adventure involves an increase in duet, with sometimes three characters to play as the script allows. In other words, if you play solo, it’s the CPU that will assist you in your progression, which is obviously not true charm of the parties in cooperation. It is true that in the latter case, the flaws stand out gameplay a bit easier. We realize that the problems already highlighted in Lego Star Wars have not been corrected. Gameplay appears somewhat vague, both during phases of action platforms, and they often die stupidly. Nevertheless, it penalizes the conduct of any adventure since resurrected so on ad infinitum, with the loss of some Lego pieces. Moreover, even if you advance fast enough in the adventure, despite some truly twisted puzzles, life is boosted by the impressive amount of characters and unlockable by returning to explore the levels in Free mode. All this makes Lego Indiana Jones an app that is both relevant and entertaining, especially Co-op, and a very worthy successor of Lego Star Wars.
